In this post we are going to cover essential elements that you need in order to get started with your Canada PR in 2018.

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada has released a report indicating that Canada plans to welcome 980,000 new permanent residents to the country. The plan was published on November 1, 2017.  Most of these PRs will be a part of Federal Express Entry scheme.

2018 is expected to be a similar year for Canada PR applicants. So what are the steps and procedures for 2018 Canada PR which will help us to stay ahead. One of the important things is to ensure that your profile is ready for any cut off released by CIC.

Below is the activity list for you to get started for 2018 Canada PR. These are the main action items that must be completed in order to stay in the game for 2018 Canada PR under Federal Skilled Worker Program. These 4 steps are basic steps that lead to profile submission for Canada PR.

  1. Get IELTS General Exam Date and Take up the exam
  2. Order your university transcripts with Mark-sheets and Degrees for bachelors and masters
  3. Create  Profile at CIC Website
  4. Create account at WES Canada and submit transcripts there, WES eventually will allocate suitable points for education based on Canadian equivalency.

These steps will help you get started with your profile. After getting an Invitation to Apply (ITA) there are further procedures. These include medical tests for all applicants, getting employment letters to verify your NOC code, your bank account statements and paying for Canada PR Fee etc.

Once your documents are verified, you will be requested to submit your passports to Canda High Commission. All of these status can be seen in your online account that you created in step 3 above.
